Yoga is a modern practice with ancient roots that offers you the chance to cultivate presence, authenticity, health, strength, flexibility, joy, calm and a felt sensation of belonging in this world.  Yoga allows you to more vibrantly inhabit your life.

Yoga meets you where you are.  You don't have to be young or fit to practice yoga.  If you're elderly, injured, "not flexible" or just stressed out, there's a form of Yoga that is perfect for you.  Yoga helps new moms and mammas-to-be navigate the sea-change of life that motherhood brings.  Yoga can help to heal from injuries, or adjust to a new 'normal' in your physical body.  Yoga can eventually help you to touch your toes, but the most important lessons Yoga teaches do not come from pretzel positions.  Yoga teaches you to embrace this moment, in all its imperfect beauty, to fully live each breath you take and to walk in this world in a state of harmony with yourself.

Let's create a Yoga Class that's right for you!

Jasmine is available to teach private lessons on both an individual or group basis.  Private and small group sessions are held in your space, Jasmine will provide mats and blankets. Jasmine offers a free consultation via email, phone, or face to face in order to discuss your goals and needs for private classes so that together we can tailor a lesson plan that will best support you.

Private classes can be a wonderful way to get a taste of yoga without the pressure of practicing in a group setting, or to meet the demands of your individual schedule.  Private lessons offer the ability to get personalized attention, to deepen your practice, to develop a personal practice, or to focus on key areas of your practice.
Jasmine firmly believes that yoga can be safely practiced by almost anyone; the key is to allow the poses and the practice to be shaped in a way that supports YOU instead of trying to fit yourself into someone else's pose or practice.  Private classes are an ideal way to address injuries, limited mobility, or to support your pregnancy in a safe and supportive manner.  You may find that you want to continue your yoga practice on a private class basis or you may find that after a few classes you feel comfortable to join a public class with the knowledge and understanding of how to safely support yourself through modifications and internal awareness.

Yoga with Jasmine:

Jasmine has been practicing yoga for over a decade and looks forward to a lifetime of the inquiry, dialogue and relationship that is a practice of yoga.  She sees the practice of yoga as a means of self healing, from the inside out.  When we practice yoga we tune into the natural rhythm of the body, balancing the endocrine system, neurophysiology, and fascial networks.  We clear out samskaras - energetic blocks accumulated through life.  We support the health of the chakras (energetic organs) and the meridians (energetic pathways).  Yoga is the science and the art of living in harmony.

In her yoga classes, Jasmine focuses on energetic and anatomical alignment, breath and the individuality of each student. Her classes are accessible and appropriate for beginners as well as for those interested in deepening their dialogue with their bodies. She invites her students to learn to listen to the deep wisdom within through practices of breath, awareness and mindful meditation.    Her  yoga classes include asana, pranayama, meditation, spiritual philosophy, and some bio-physiology. Her mindfulness-based approach to yoga translates into the “life asanas” we all experience off the mat.
